Melissa Schoen is a consultant who specializes in improving the scope and quality of health care services with those who care for the underserved. Melissa provides expertise in strategic planning, leadership & workforce development, and operations planning and organizational transformation. Holding multilevel positions in operations and strategic development for over 25 years, Melissa has built a knowledge base from which to plan, implement, and produce measurable program improvements. She has played key roles in the launch and expansion of foundation programs and overseen operations in varied heath care organizations, including community health centers and independent physician associations. Previous positions include Senior Program Officer, Innovations for the Underserved Program, at the California HealthCare Foundation and Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Director at Lifelong Medical Care. Melissa received a Master’s in Business Administration and Master’s in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree in Organization Behavior and Psychology from Pitzer College.
