Veronica Mijic

Program Manager, Public Health Institute

Veronica Mijic is Program Manager of the California Future Health Workforce Master Plan at the Public Health Institute. In partnership with the master plan co-directors, Veronica develops, refines, and manages all activities to facilitate the plan’s development.

Veronica previously directed projects for both the California Medical Association Foundation and the National Hispanic Medical Association, where she managed the organizations’ project portfolios, served as the primary grant writer and managed philanthropic efforts. Prior to her work in project management, Veronica spent several years developing health policy for the California Medical Association and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she provided direct assistance to the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation during the development of several key regulations to implement the Affordable Care Act.

She holds a bachelor of arts in political science from the University of California, Davis.
